Is the Canon Powershot SX10 IS a good camera?

Hi,
I’m thinking about asking for a Powershot SX10 IS for Christmas because i’m interested in . Is this a good camera? Thanks so much.

    Yes, the SX10 IS is a VERY good super-zoom camera with full manual controls. I’d highly recommend it (make sure you get a fast SD or SDHC card…Class 6, be sure to Format it before first use).

    Yes the Canon Powershot SX10 is a Very Good camera i deffently recommend it.

    Excellent camera. Learn how to use it. By learning, that means not setting camera on auto but learning an important feature. Aperture/shutter priority. If you don’t know what different shutter speeds are used for or why one would set aperture at f2.8 rather then say f/11 go to local library and borrow a book on The Basics of Photography. It really isn’t difficult, and you’ll get more out of the Canon SX10 IS.
    Plenty of zoom at 20X optical and it has 10 megapixels. Image stabilizer for shaky hands, and is excellent on batteries.
    If you decide on a fully auto camera there’s nothing wrong with the Canon SD1200 IS. Both of these cameras have very good image quality.
    Beach Camera and Buydig has the SD1200 IS for $149-+shipping on line.
