    Katie Scott reminds of Madonna,
however this is an ad, not even a first look review.

No, it’s not like the other S-series (S2, S3, S5) with the lens adapters and accessory conversion lenses. But it pretty much makes up for that with wide angle and 20x zoom.

Wow! That’s a HUGE camera for a point & shoot!

it’s actually not nearly as big as a rebel so it’s a nice medium for someone who wants more options then just a point and shoot but who don’t want the price and size of their dslrs

it’s an ADVANCED point and shoot. You can’t compare it to those little toy point n’ shoots for example the ixus range.

nikon gets a more “professional” looking image, but Canon in my opinion gets more points for ease of use and reliability.

The SX1is is prices at 600 or so dollars, that’s more than a rebel xti with a kit lens!

It’s just called a lens hood.

SX1 IS, Its better than any of its class eg. Nikon P90 or Sony HX1.
I can say one thing its such a camera that u can;’t compare it any DSLR. Coz its pic mode and movie mode with 20x Zoom or IS on at 80 x zoom (including digital 4x) is better than any imagination……
Its the best purchase ever of buying camera by me.
Its RAW mode shooting is comparable to any DSLR and presently no point and shoot camera is supporting that.

the sx20 also has the same size of the sx10 but has hd. same price as the sx10. do dont buy the hx1. your paying too much for hd but you can get the sx20 cheaper

I think these cameras are called “bridge”

    it’s like:
    Point-and-Shoot
    Bridge
    DSLR/SLR
    :D DD

If you are considering the Sony HX-1 or Canon SX1 IS, you should also consider the Casio EX-F1 because it has a focus ring around the lens, a external mic jack, a hot shoe, a threaded lens for UV filters, and slow motion (if you want a fun bonus). Hard to believe it’s from Casio. The problem is the price.

i think the brit love to carry this dental signature, they let their teeth grow naturally without correcting it.
